From Coimbatore, with love
Three old friends, one shared craving, and a question nobody else in the GTA was answering. That craving became two kitchens, hand-painted murals, and a menu that tastes like home.
Three college mates, one big craving
Three Coimbatore friends have been inseparable for over 24 years — long enough to know exactly what real Tamil Nadu food tastes like, and to feel its absence every day in the GTA. Frustrated dinner-table conversations quietly became a plan.
The flavours we missed
They drove everywhere, tried everywhere — but the food they were looking for wasn't there: not the Madurai Mallipoo Idlis, not the bold street cravings of Chennai late-nights, not anything close to Coimbatore Annapoorna. So they stopped looking and started cooking.
If it doesn't taste like home
Their philosophy fits in one line: if it doesn't taste like home, it doesn't reach the plate. Every dish — from slow-simmered Mutton Bone Soup to golden dosas — is made with bold spices and the same care you'd give family.
Tamil Nadu, right here in the GTA
Now with kitchens in Mississauga and Brampton, walls painted with Tamil Nadu's temples and cinema icons, Arusuvai Kitchen is less a restaurant and more a small piece of home.
